So, no one ever tells you this when they're engaged...but you (at least this happens to me) I get really paranoid that I'm going to lose my ring. AND I've even already had a nightmare that some of the diamonds have fallen out of my ring. Yeah, it was not a good night. I think I woke up all panicky...love it.
Other than that, I am so far enjoying being engaged. I get to spend a lot of time with my best friend, and we are trying to get everything done early so we won't be so stressed later...closer to the date. (Which is May 23rd for those of you that don't know...mark your calendars!) Good times!

I have never been afraid of losing my ring or diamond. Not sure why cause it kind of sticks out. Now I'm probably going to have a nightmare about it tonight, thanks to you. :) I'm glad you are enjoying being engaged. It definitely was mine and Scott's least favorite time in our relationship.
Yeah, good luck. Being engaged is not the funnest....no matter how prepared you are.
I used to wake up and check to make sure my stone was still there. One time I felt one of the smaller ones and I turned on all the lights to make sure I was wrong. I totally get you.
I was totally freaked out at first. Probably because it was the first time I'd ever worn "real" jewelry. I still worry I've ruined it every now and again, although I'm a lot more laid back than I was at first.
I was freaked out at first- mine is tension set and I swore I could wiggle it! Anyways now I don't worry that much anymore- (besides it might be fun to get a new one j/k;))

But I'm a total worrier.
I lost the sapphire in my ring twice--the second time for good. Fortunately, I am able to handle it since I never had an engagement ring and got the ring with the stones years after I was married. So it can happen, but usually doesn't, I gather. Aunt Lynda
the end of one the prongs broke off my diamond, and I didn't wear it until I got it fixed, but the diamond didn't even come out then despite that.
I'm glad you're liking being engaged. I think getting everything done early is smart.
I lost my ring once right before Mike left for Iraq - I think he had already left home. Talk about panic! But I found it the next day or so in the back yard. Thank goodness the dogs didn't eat it. In fact I lost it a lot in the first couple of years of our marriage but it always comes back. I liked being engaged for the most part. Our families took care of pretty much everything.
