So I was talking with my parents and my brother, John, tonight after the priesthood session.  We were talking about reading classic books and I now have a new favorite quote from John.  He said, "I didn't have to read any classics because I watched 'Wishbone.'"

What is "Wishbone," you ask.  Well, it was a PBS show about a kid and a dog.  The kid would be going through some situation in life and the dog, Wishbone, would find a classic book that fit the situation and then act out the book.  Yeah, it was pretty sweet....

Never heard of Wishbone - somehow I don't think I miss out on much! And John is a geektron!

This post made my day. I loved wishbone. It's still on now and then. I watched it a few months ago with my kids and it was even worse than I remember it.

Stories lend themselves to many adaptations, but literature is impossible to abridge and retell. Love it! And Wishbone was pretty silly so kids loved it! Aunt Lynda
